Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of MRI experience for an evening swing shift contract in St. George, UT.
Details
- Works in a hospital-based MRI department
- Swing shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- No weekend shifts required
- Charting performed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience required
- ARRT registration with MR designation โ RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) required
- UT State License required if applicable
- Active BLS certification (AHA) required โ must not expire prior to assignment start
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, manual dexterity, seeing, and hearing/listening
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs MRI examinations per department protocol, including proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation
- Administers IV contrast (gadolinium) under radiologist or physician supervision, in accordance with contrast administration protocols
- Selects scanning techniques and protocols in coordination with the radiologist
- Operates MRI equipment and related systems, including magnet components, gradient amplifiers, and associated hardware and software
- Views, transfers, archives, and manipulates images using electronic imaging systems
- Troubleshoots equipment issues and understands scanner shutdown, startup, and quench procedures
- Adheres to MRI safety policy and the Four Zone concept
- Completes all required documentation including time stamps, image storage, coding, charging, and consents as applicable
- Post-hire expectation: IV certification competency to be achieved within 3 months
- Post-hire expectation: Controlled substance module and initial moderate sedation module to be completed within 6 months where applicable
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any facility in this health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
