The Department of Information Services at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Lead Programmer Analyst / Lead Oracle Developer.
The successful candidate will serve as a Lead Programmer Analyst for Oracle Cloud applications (ERP, SCM, HCM) in supporting and developing integrations between Oracle Cloud applications (ERP, SCM, HCM) and on-premise, third-party systems using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and supports Oracle data and reports.
  • Design and development of Oracle integrations on OIC using file based/REST/SOAP adapters.
  • Develop and deliver Oracle Integration Cloud based integrations with Oracle SaaS and 3rd Party applications.
  • Design and develop Webservices/APIs for cloud, on premises, and hybrid solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Design, develop, unit testing, performance tuning and implementation of real time and batch integration.
  • Expertise in building, error handling, auditing, scheduling, deployment, monitoring/alert integrations in OIC/ICS, and support end to end testing of integrations.
  • Thorough knowledge of Mapping, Lookups, Connections, XSLT, Agents, Packages, and other features of OIC.
  • Conceptualize technical design options, identify the best option, and complete the technical design specifications.
  • Design and build reports leveraging Oracle OTBI, BI Publisher, Tableau and Fusion Analytic Warehouse.
  • In depth knowledge about Oracle Cloud ERP schema and writing SQL queries, Data Modeling and Data Engineering.
  • Expertise in creating BI Publisher & OTBI reports and using the RTF templates
  • Support day-to-day Oracle application operations, including help desk issues and end user support.
  • Meets with stakeholders, documents requirements, user stories, and related artifacts to determine technical specifications
  • Adheres to all security, change management and application management lifecycle policies
  • Supports systems maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations with other major systems.
  • Understands multiple application platforms and collaborates with other teams to maintain operations.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field combined with at least five years' experience in the Software field with experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications
  • 3+ years of experience working with Oracle SaaS modules and hands-on development and administration experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • 3+ years of experience with REST API, SOAP, FBDI, PL/SQL, and the use of Oracle Cloud-delivered Web Services.
  • 2+ years of experience with developing integration using Oracle OIC
  • End-to-end Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) implementation experience with at least 1 end-to-end Oracle SaaS/PaaS/IaaS implementation project
  • Experienced with interfacing between Oracle Cloud or ERP and 3rd party systems
  • Experienced working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Experience with Python and C# programming languages and or mobile app development.
  • Ability to leverage pre-built integrations, cloud adapters, connections, SaaS applications, etc. in the solution
  • Hands-on development experience with Oracle Database Cloud services (DBCS) and Managed File Transfer (MFT)
  • Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirement, design, development, testing, deployment, support).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Or, an acceptable equivalent combination of education, experience and training to the above.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced with Oracle Cloud ERP, SCM and HCM.
  • REST API and SOAP. Oracle OIC, OTBI Tableau and BI Publisher.
  • Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server Stored Procedures,
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Programming language Python and C#
  • Experience with implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
