Inside Sales Representative
Location: Clearwater, FL
Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support customers, distributors, and OEM partners while helping grow business opportunities within an industrial manufacturing environment. This position combines exceptional customer service with proactive sales support and account development. No prior experience with motor controls is required—training will be provided for candidates who are eager to learn technical products and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts via phone and email.
  • Process and confirm customer orders accurately for entry into the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with production, planning, shipping, and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Provide customers with pricing, product availability, lead times, and order status updates.
  • Resolve customer questions and concerns while escalating technical issues when necessary.
  • Process return authorizations, order changes, and customer credits according to company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, order history, and account activity within the CRM system.
  • Contact existing and prospective customers to identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships.
  • Follow up on inbound leads, referrals, marketing campaigns, and trade show inquiries.
  • Support outside sales representatives by preparing quotes, providing product information, and assisting with customer follow-up.
  • Identify opportunities to expand business within existing customer accounts.
  • Assist with onboarding new distributors and OEM customers.
  • Prepare pricing quotations based on customer specifications and company pricing guidelines.
  • Develop knowledge of the company's industrial electrical product line to assist customers with basic product selection.
  • Coordinate with technical sales staff for custom product configurations.
  • Track outstanding quotations and follow up to help convert opportunities into orders.
  • Generate sales reports and order status updates as requested.
  • Participate in product training, sales meetings, and special projects.
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional phone and email etiquette.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems is a plus.
