The Oracle Fusion Financials & EPM Director (IT) is a senior IT leader accountable for the strategy, delivery, governance, and long term ownership of Oracle Fusion Financials and Oracle Cloud EPM. Reporting to the Senior Director of ERP, this in office position is based at the Altium headquarters, with travel required at key points throughout project execution. The role provides program and product leadership for the enterprise transition from JD Edwards (JDE) to Oracle Fusion, ensuring the solution enables standardized, compliant accounting and finance processes while aligning to enterprise IT architecture, security, and operational standards.
The Director leads and develops the Oracle Fusion Finance functional team; the Oracle Fusion Financial & EPM Functional Owners (IT) and the JDE Accounting Functional Business Analyst report into this position. The Director sets design and delivery expectations, ensures tight alignment with Finance leadership (Controllership and FP&A), and serves as the escalation point for cross functional decisions, risks, and delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities
Strategy, Roadmap & Governance

• Own the overall IT strategy and multi year roadmap for Oracle Fusion Financials and Oracle EPM, aligned to Finance priorities and enterprise architecture standards.
• Define and enforce standards for financial structures (ledger design, chart of accounts, calendars, legal entity structures), controls, and data governance across ERP and EPM limiting customizations.
• Develop and maintain business cases for roadmap initiatives; define measurable value targets and track benefits realization (e.g., close acceleration, control effectiveness, reporting improvements, and cost optimization) in partnership with Finance.
• Partner with JDE/Fusion Architect on Internal Audit, Risk, and Security topics to ensure an auditable solution (e.g., SoD intent, access governance, and controls embedded in process design).
JDE to Oracle Fusion Transformation Leadership
• Provide executive IT leadership for the transition from JD Edwards to Oracle Fusion, including scope, sequencing, cutover approach, and stabilization planning for Finance capabilities.
• Ensure future state Record to Report and adjacent processes (e.g., Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, cost and inventory accounting impacts) are designed with strong accounting integrity and operational feasibility.
• Partner with Finance leadership on change management: assess change impacts, drive communications and stakeholder readiness, support role/process redesign, and establish training completion and adoption metrics to ensure successful transition to new ways of working.
• Oversee key program deliverables impacting Finance, including data conversion strategy, reconciliation approach, integrations, reporting, and close readiness.
• Own IS Finance functional team risk management: identify cross workstream dependencies, escalate critical decisions, and drive timely resolution to protect timeline and quality.
Solution Architecture & Cross Functional Alignment
• Accountable for the end to end Finance solution spanning Oracle Fusion Financials and Oracle EPM, ensuring consistent master data, reconciled integrations, and traceable reporting outcomes.
• Maintain a deep understanding of end to end accounting and finance processes (Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash) to ensure Oracle Fusion and EPM designs reflect real world operational execution, controls, and close requirements.
• This role is best suited for a hands on finance systems leader who can operate at both executive and design detail levels, and who is willing to step in as needed to gather requirements, work through functional detail, and drive execution.
• Partner with Oracle Fusion Infrastructure/Integration/Security leaders to ensure Finance designs are supportable and secure (environments, RBAC, SoD implementation, OIC/integration patterns, and release readiness).
• Coordinate with other Oracle Fusion function owners (e.g., Supply Chain/Manufacturing) to ensure cost and inventory flows, subledger impacts, and operational transactions integrate cleanly to the financial close.
• Ensure Finance reporting and analytics requirements are met with an intentional architecture (financial statements, management reporting, close metrics, planning/forecasting reporting).
Delivery, Vendor & Stakeholder Leadership
• Lead and coach the Finance functional team, including setting objectives and accountability for the Functional Owner and Business analyst; ensure clear role boundaries and effective collaboration with technical teams.
• Own team capacity planning and staffing strategy (hiring, contractor mix, and role design) to ensure the right skills and coverage across ERP and EPM delivery and operations.
• Establish a performance and development cadence (goal setting, feedback, performance management, and professional development) to grow functional and product leadership capability within the team.
• Ensure the IS delivery process is consistently followed across the IS Finance functional team and vendor partners, including stage gates, required artifacts, testing rigor, and change/release controls.
• Serve as the primary IT partner to Finance leadership, translating finance strategy and accounting requirements into executable platform roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Direct system integrator (SI) and vendor partners for the IS Finance functional team: manage performance, validate deliverables, drive issue resolution, ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams, and lead delivery of prioritized improvement projects.
• Provide concise executive communication on status, risks, decisions needed, and trade offs (scope, timeline, compliance impacts, and operational readiness).
Operational Ownership & Continuous Improvement
• Own the IS Finance functional team operating model post go live: incident/problem management , quarterly update readiness, regression testing strategy, and release coordination.
• Review Oracle quarterly updates with Finance stakeholders; evaluate impact/value, determine which new features to adopt, and plan enablement/testing for selected enhancements.
• Ensure stable period close operations by driving performance, reconciliation, and control effectiveness across ERP and EPM.
• Oversee Finance backlog prioritization and value delivery (regulatory, controls, close acceleration, automation, planning improvements).
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of solution design, configurations, testing evidence (SIT/UAT), and end user training materials to support auditability, support readiness, and long term maintainability.
• Drive adoption and capability building across IT and Finance through documentation standards, training approach alignment, and measurable process improvements.
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • 7+ years related work experience
  • Significant leadership experience owning or delivering enterprise ERP Financials solutions, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and/or Oracle E-Business Suite/JDE financials with cloud migration exposure.
  • Strong accounting and finance process knowledge (record-to-report, close, financial controls, statutory vs. management reporting).
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex transformation programs (multi-workstream, multi-phase), including executive stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to lead teams (direct and matrix) and manage SI/vendor partners with measurable delivery outcomes.
  • Ability to govern solution design in a fit-to-standard model, balancing risk, controls, cost, and speed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading JD Edwards (JDE) to Oracle Fusion migrations, including data conversion and reconciliation strategy.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud EPM (e.g., FCCS, Planning, ARCS, narrative/management reporting) and ERP-EPM integration patterns.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity experience with complex cost accounting and inventory valuation requirements.
  • CPA, CMA, or similar credential; or Oracle certifications in Fusion Financials/EPM (preferred, not required).
