Description
SAIC is looking for a Functional Analyst to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK at the FAA office.
As a Level 2 Functional Analyst specializing in Oracle Financials, you will be the frontline support for users of Oracle's financial management modules. Your role is critical in ensuring smooth financial operations by providing functional expertise and resolving user issues related to Oracle Financials applications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide second-level functional support for Oracle Financials modules such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
  • Assist users with daily financial transactions and queries, ensuring accurate data entry and system usage according to business policies.
  • Log, troubleshoot, and resolve common Oracle Financials issues or escalate complex problems to senior analysts or technical teams.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into system functionality.
  • Conduct basic data analysis and validation within Oracle Financials to ensure transaction accuracy and financial data integrity.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial processes by assisting with reconciliations, reporting, and system audits.
  • Document user issues, processes, and system changes to maintain clear support records and knowledge base articles.
  • Assist in developing and delivering user training materials and conduct training sessions for new users or system updates.
  • Participate in testing financial system enhancements, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to verify changes meet business needs.
  • Stay informed about Oracle Financials module updates, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements that impact system use.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree and Two (2) years of related experience is required. 4 years of relevant experience is accepted in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of Oracle Financials modules and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with finance teams and technical staff.
  • Ability to document support issues and processes clearly and thoroughly.
  • Prior experience supporting Oracle Financials or similar ERP financial modules is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices and financial reporting is a plus.
