The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented Oracle CPQ Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting our Oracle CPQ platform, helping ensure the system effectively supports our products, business processes, and customer experience.

You will work closely with Product Management, IT, and other business stakeholders to understand requirements, develop solutions, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve system functionality. Successful candidates will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and translating business needs into reliable, scalable technical solutions.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on development, configuration, integrations, and system support. You'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on how our business operates while developing expertise in a highly customized Oracle environment.

This position can be based out of our Norwalk, CT headquarters on a hybrid schedule or can be fully remote. This is a contract-to-hire position.

Key Responsibilities

CPQ Development & Configuration

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Oracle CPQ functionality to support evolving business requirements.
  • Build and maintain configurators, business rules, workflows, pricing logic, approval processes, and supporting functionality.
  • Develop and support customizations utilizing BML, BMQL, data tables, configuration rules, commerce processes, and related Oracle CPQ technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

System Support & Troubleshooting

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for Oracle CPQ.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, configuration, integration, and data-related issues.
  • Investigate root causes and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems.
  • Provide ongoing support for users and business teams utilizing the platform.

Integrations & Technical Architecture

  • Develop and maintain integrations between Oracle CPQ and other enterprise systems.
  • Work with REST and SOAP APIs to ensure reliable data exchange and system connectivity.
  • Support system enhancements, upgrades, and integration initiatives as business needs evolve.

Testing & Release Management

  • Participate in the design, testing, validation, and deployment of new functionality and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements prior to release.
  • Support testing efforts related to Oracle CPQ updates, enhancements, and new product launches.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration documentation, and business process documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, maintainability, and user experience.
  • Stay current on Oracle CPQ capabilities, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements that improve business effectiveness and operational efficiency.
