JOB TITLE: BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST
JOB LOCATION: REMOTE
WAGE RANGE*: 63.00-67.00 PER HOUR

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities WAM (preferably v1.9x)
  • Strong backend development skillset including SQL, data extraction, and ETL workflows
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting, Unix/Linux environments, and secure file-transfer processes (SFTP)
  • Experience supporting or migrating file-based integrations to Oracle Cloud Object Storage

Strong understanding of relational database structures and enterprise data patterns
Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
JOB DESCRIPTION
In this position you will be responsible for supporting enhancements, maintenance, and data operations within the current Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAMS) environment, while also enabling secure file-based integrations to Oracle Cloud.
The candidate should have strong backend development skills, SQL expertise, and Unix-based integration capabilities.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities WAM v1.9x, strong data processing and backend skills, and the ability to support existing Unix/Shell automation and file-transfer workflows as they transition toward cloud-based patterns.
  • Support and maintain backend processes within Oracle Utilities WAMS v1.9x
  • Develop and document reusable patterns for data extraction, transformation, and integration
  • Ensure data design supports operational needs, audit controls, and performance requirements
  • Support ingestion of GDE datasets into Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB).
  • Provide day-to-day technical support, troubleshooting, and data correction across WAMS components

Business Rule Definition & Functional Alignment
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document WAMS functional processes
  • Translate business requirements into technical logic and backend data flows
  • Document representations of work orders, labor, materials, and assets within WAMS and ensure alignment to operational workflows
  • Support business process mapping by connecting backend design with field and back-office operations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in utility operations or asset management environments
  • Familiarity with transitioning legacy processing pipelines to cloud-native approaches
  • Experience within regulated or municipal utility organizations
  • Background in large-scale data automation or backend pipeline development
