Job description

As an Oracle Developer Contractor, you will design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications to meet business requirements and enhance system functionality.ย  Develop and implement Oracle database applications using PL/SQL and SQL. Design and create database objects to support application development. Optimize SQL queries for performance and resource utilization. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Provide support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for Oracle applications while ensuring data integrity and security.

Key Responsibilities as a Contractor: (day to day of the role)

As a contractor on this project, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of reporting and analytics initiatives within a large-scale ERP transformation program. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate daily with both technical and functional teams to deliver reporting and analytics epics and user stories.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and ongoing planning sessions with client business teams, both virtually and during on-site visits (travel required).
  • Provide hands-on support in designing, developing, and validating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools such as:
    • Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW)
    • Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
    • Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)
    • Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
    • Jira for agile work tracking
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure successful implementation of reporting solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data or system issues related to reporting tools and platforms.
  • Document technical and functional aspects of reporting solutions to support knowledge transfer and continuity.

Qualifications: (necessities for background experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience working in Oracle-based analytics environments.
  2. Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses and BI platforms.
  3. Strong communication skills for engaging with client stakeholders in both remote and in-person settings.
  4. Prior consulting or contractor experience is a plus.
  5. Experience with agile delivery methodologies and Jira is highly desirable.
