The Client Insights Consultant provides year-round strategic consultative services with a consistent focus on the UnitedHealthcare Value Story, leveraging industry-leading analytics of health plan performance data to further support UnitedHealth Group's position as a trusted advisor and carrier of choice.  

If you are located in in Washington or Oregon, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This role is part of a dedicated strategic team that supports complex employer groups within Local Markets, generally within the Pacific Northwest region
  • The Consultant creates and presents compelling analytic insights and solution recommendations to a variety of fully insured and self-funded employer groups, most commonly through the delivery of annual Healthplan Performance Reviews
  • The Consultant sits within a regional market team consisting of an Analyst and Strategist, and works in coordination with local sales and account management teams and other stakeholders throughout UHG including Optum and OptumRx
  • The Consultant focuses on actionable insights and effective storytelling; navigation of our analytic tools and the distillation of compelling insights from health plan performance data is central to the role
  • The Consultant builds an analytic business case for proposed solutions and supports the sales and account management team in presenting recommendations to our clients
  • The Consultant will have no direct reports and will report directly to the West Region AVP

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years in a customer-facing role, preferably within a sales, account management, TPA, or consulting environment
  • Healthcare experience with general knowledge of healthcare quality and affordability topics and emerging industry trends
  • Intermediate or higher skills within Office 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated presentation skills, preferably with an executive-level audience
  • May reside in either Washington or Oregon, preferably near major metropolitan areas / airports such as Seattle and Portland

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data analytics, data science, statistics or underwriting
  • Clear and concise written & verbal communication skills; successful virtual presentation experience

Travel:

  • Travel may be required up to 25% of the time depending on customer needs Drivers license and access to reliable transportation is required

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
