Job description

Patient Support Representative

Our Internal Medicine Balltown Road office is hiring a full-time Patient Support Representative to join their team!

The hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am 4:30pm.

The primary responsibility of this role is to answer phones in a high-volume call center, and to schedule appointments.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer multiple line phone system, forwarding calls to appropriate location or handling calls personally when appointments are needed.
  • Remove messages from phone system and return calls to patients as needed.
  • Cancel and reschedule patients when necessary.
  • Schedule appointments for patients, following office protocols for access to care.
  • Document verbal conversations and information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
  • Transfer/retrieve office phones to/from answering service.
  • Answer overflow of phone calls and direct appropriately.
  • Process incoming telephone calls/messages based on office policy and procedure.

Compensation: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
