Job description

About the Company
Valerie Health is the AI front office for independent provider groups. We are reimagining how independent practices operate by using AI to modernize patient/provider communication, enhance care, and drive industry-changing operational efficiencies.
  • Team: We are led by Pete Shalek (2x health tech exits, including a $600M acquisition by Optum) and Nitin Joshi (scaled Uber Eats + Health, Stripe Connect, and Bridge, acquired by Stripe for $1.1B). Beyond our founders, our team brings DNA from category leaders (Uber, Stripe, Meta), high-growth unicorns, and top consulting firms.
  • Trajectory: We partner with leading independent provider groups across the U.S., automating hundreds of thousands of tasks each month. Scaling at 7x year-over-year with 300% NRR as customers consistently expand usage.
  • Funding: We have raised $39M (Series A) from world-class investors including Redpoint Ventures, General Catalyst, Primary Ventures, and BoxGroup.

About the Role
Valerie Health is in a hypergrowth phase, and we are rapidly building the marketing function from the ground up. You will be one of the first hires, working with high autonomy and responsibility.
AI is transforming healthcare in ways that were impossible with traditional software: problems that have been intractable for decades are now being solved. This is a chance to define how that story gets told, shaping the positioning and competitive narrative for a company at the center of it.
As our Product Marketing Manager, you will own Valerie's story. You will develop the messaging, positioning, and collateral that make our value clear to every person we touch. You will develop consistent messaging frameworks across buyer personas and product categories, work with sales on pricing strategy and competitive positioning, and create high-quality collateral with external partners or building yourself.
What You'll Do
  • Messaging Frameworks. Develop messaging for Valerie's product suite, tailored to different buyer personas (practice administrators, C-suite, PE investors) and different product categories.
  • Competitive Positioning. Understand how Valerie fits in the market and arm sales with the language, battle cards, and materials to win.
  • Pricing Strategy. Work with sales leadership on pricing and the positioning of bundled vs. standalone product offerings.
  • Collateral. Create and manage production of sales decks, one-pagers, case studies, conference materials, and website copy. You should have a strong eye for design and the ability to work in Figma and direct an external partner.
  • Product Launches. Own go-to-market strategy for new product launches and feature releases: announcement copy, updated collateral, and sales talking points.
  • Sales Enablement. Build materials that help reps articulate Valerie's value clearly and consistently.
  • Brand Consistency. Ensure consistency of messaging across all external-facing communications.
  • Cross-Team Alignment. Partner with Growth, Brand, and Sales to ensure campaigns, outreach, and conference collateral are aligned with positioning.

About You
You care about craft. You're the kind of person who rewrites a headline six times because the first five didn't earn the click. You have done this before - built messaging frameworks, created collateral that sales actually uses, and worked on positioning that drove business success - and you can show us the work.
What we're looking for
  • 3-5+ years of product marketing experience. B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or healthcare technology strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop messaging and positioning from scratch. You can take the complex and make it a clear and compelling story for a specific audience.
  • Strong collateral creation skills. You build high-quality decks, one-pagers, and case studies. You have a good eye for design and can work in Figma or similar tools.
  • Experience with pricing and packaging strategy. You've worked with sales on how to position and price product offerings.
  • Excellent writing. Your copy is clean, precise, and persuasive. Not corporate speak, not jargon.
  • Collaborative. You listen empathically, understand what Sales, Product and CS need, and deliver work that they use.

Bonus if you have healthcare industry experience or have worked at a company selling to operations leaders and C-suite executives.
What We Offer
  • $150,000-$200,000 base salary plus meaningful equity in an AI-native, high-growth startup
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
  • Work directly with senior leadership and some of the most innovative healthcare groups in the country
  • Join as a founding hire on the marketing team at a company that is scaling fast
  • SF office: Daily catered lunch and dinner reimbursement
