Global Trials Optimization Specialist

Sponsor Dedicated/ Remote - US only

Are you energized by using data, planning, and cross-functional collaboration to help clinical trials enroll successfully? We’re seeking a Global Trials Optimization Specialist to support program feasibility, recruitment and retention planning, and in-life trial optimization across global clinical studies. In this role, you’ll help translate trial goals, country input, modeling data, and enrollment insights into practical strategies that support study execution. You’ll partner with clinical trial teams, vendors, legal, analytics, and other stakeholders to identify enrollment opportunities, address challenges, and support patient- and site-facing recruitment efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining clinical trial operations, feasibility strategy, recruitment planning, stakeholder coordination, and performance analysis to help studies reach the right participants.

What You’ll Do
Program Feasibility and Trial Optimization

  • Gather data, benchmarks, and modeling inputs to support feasibility and trial optimization planning.

  • Support program review development, including content review and escalation of requirements as needed.

  • Plan timelines for validation, deliverable development, stakeholder alignment, presentation preparation, and country validation requests.

  • Support validation and Clinical Trials Allocation Committee activities, including scenario planning, risk table inputs, validation review, modeling updates, and final allocation requests.

  • Author the initial Global Trials Optimization Report and maintain subsequent report updates throughout the trial lifecycle.

  • Complete recruitment needs assessments and ensure trial-level GTO reports remain current and actionable.

Recruitment and Retention Planning

  • Lead early recruitment and retention planning during feasibility, including inputs for project cost estimates.

  • Develop initial recruitment needs assessments and, where applicable, program-level recruitment budget estimates.

  • Submit vendor requests and prepare recruitment and retention plans.

  • Partner with legal on concept reviews, vendor proposal reviews, scope of work finalization, and material or tactic reviews.

  • Ensure recruitment and retention plans, including enrollment support materials, are implemented effectively.

  • Oversee enrollment support material development and tactic execution.

  • Provide required materials to the Metrics, Analytics & Performance team to support accurate Study Optimizer plan entry.

  • Request and manage appropriate system updates as trial needs evolve.

In-Life Trial Management

  • Partner with study teams to identify enrollment challenges, assess risks, and recommend potential mitigations.

  • Manage routine enrollment support materials and vendor activities.

  • Monitor enrollment performance and prepare standard reporting.

  • Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities for enhanced support.

  • Coordinate enhanced enrollment support activities, which may include:

    • Rescue site and country activities

    • Internal recruitment and retention refresher meetings

    • External recruitment and retention booster meetings

    • Additional participant- or site-facing materials

    • Rescue vendor engagement

    • Advocacy engagement and community outreach

What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting clinical trials, feasibility, recruitment planning, enrollment strategy, or trial optimization.

  • Strong ability to gather, interpret, and apply data to support planning and decision-making.

  • Experience coordinating timelines, deliverables, stakeholder reviews, and cross-functional inputs.

  • Ability to work with clinical trial teams, vendors, legal, analytics, and other business partners.

  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to develop clear reports, plans, updates, and study-facing materials.

  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical research environment.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Oncology clinical trial experience, especially in lung or breast cancer studies.

  • Prior experience as an oncology site coordinator.

  • Experience with recruitment and retention vendors, enrollment support materials, or patient/site-facing recruitment tactics.

  • Familiarity with enrollment monitoring, performance analysis, country validation, risk tables, or trial allocation processes.

Why This Role Matters

As a Global Trials Optimization Specialist, your work will directly support smarter planning, stronger recruitment strategies, and more effective trial execution.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence global study planning, collaborate with experienced clinical research partners, and help improve how trials connect with patients and sites.
