GROUP POSITION PROFILE

Position: Business Optimization Manager

Classification: Exempt

Department: Technology

Reports To: Director of Technology

Job Summary:


The Business Optimization Manager oversees the daily performance, security, and improvement of the Epicor Eclipse (Solar/Eterm) ERP system. This role works with operations and IT to streamline workflows, enhance controls, support integrations, and keep the platform reliable and aligned with business needs. The Business Optimization Manager will join our mission to "Make the tech in the truck more efficient" and embrace our vision to "Enhance lives through solutions."

Essential Functions:


  • Owns administration, stability, and performance of Epicor Eclipse (Solar/Eterm) in partnership with IT infrastructure.
  • Manage user access and security (provisioning, authorization keys, templates) using least privilege practices.
  • Support core Eclipse operational setup (Job scheduling/phantom processing, monitoring).
  • Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and configuration changes (testing, cutover, validation).
  • Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for ERP issues; drive preventative fixes.
  • Maintain backup/recovery and data integrity practices to support business continuity.



  • Optimize end-to-end workflows (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, pricing, accounting) through configuration, standardization, and automation.
  • Design and support integrations (APIs, EDI, middleware, file-based) and coordinate with vendors/internal developers.
  • Build and maintain Eterm/TCL scripts and other automation to reduce errors and manual work.
  • Deliver operational reporting and improve data quality for downstream reporting/BI needs.
  • Create documentation and training; act as an escalation point for complex user and process issues.

Establish ERP operating procedures and support governance/audit needs as required.

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of hands-on ERP administration, ERP engineering, or application support ownership.
  • Strong Epicor Eclipse (Solar/Eterm) experience in a distribution environment.
  • Working knowledge of Linux server/VM environments and operational monitoring/troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing ERP security/access (roles, authorizations, controls).
  • Experience with ERP integrations (APIs, EDI, middleware, or file-based).
