Position Summary:

The Optical Technician Assembler will perform all machine set-ups, execute the production plan and work with Engineering on issues that occur. Debugs current products and machines when failures occur. Train others in manufacturing and support the production plan of Waveguide (WG) Manufacturing Department to meet the requirements of the relevant ISO 9001:2015 standards based on the quality objectives established by Top Management.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Support current build schedule/meeting production targets.

· Ensure products meet both technical specifications and quality standards.

· Operate production equipment as-needed.

· Assist in machine/robot set-up.

· Debug production failures.

· Assist Manufacturing Engineers as-needed.

· Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and

regulations.

· Performs other duties as assigned related to core job function.

· Meets required ISO 9001:2015 standards and necessary training based on the relevant Quality

Objectives.


Wage Range: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour + Overtime

Requirements:

Minimal Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· 1-year experience in an Assembler/Technician related role.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Basic trouble shooting skills.

· Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings etc.

· Able to use small tools (e.g., clamps, calipers).

· Understanding of quality control principles.

· Great attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working in ISO 6 or better cleanroom.

· Associate’s or other 2-year degree in Manufacturing Technology or related field.

· Experience with optics and/or optical devices.

· Experience with small electronic devices.

· Knowledge of CNC machining/set ups/programming.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None.


Travel: Negligible.


Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit, speak, hear, see, and perform repetitive motion (data

entry). Occasionally required to lift or carry (10 lb. minimum). Reasonable accommodation will be
