Job description

The Food and Beverage Management Trainee at the Wild Dunes Resort participates in a structured, hands-on training program designed to develop future Food & Beverage leaders. This role reports to our Assistant Director and placed/assigned in the FB Outlets as needed . This program combines front - line food service responsibilities with progressive exposure to operations, guest experience, inventory, food safety, and team leadership.
The Food and Beverage Management Trainee supports daily outlet operations while building the skills and knowledge needed to advance into a supervisory or management role within Food & Beverage.
Essential job FUNCTIONS:
Guest Experience & Service
  • Deliver warm, friendly, and efficient service to all resort guests and members
  • Provide product knowledge for desserts, candy, ice cream, beverages, and specialty items
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and visually appealing Sweet Shop environment
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate

Food & Beverage Operations
  • Assist with daily opening and closing procedures
  • Prepare and serve Sweet Shop items following established recipes and brand standards
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
  • Support quality control and proper food handling practices

Training & Development
  • Participate in a structured training program across Food & Beverage operations
  • Learn basic scheduling, labor management, and productivity standards
  • Assist with onboarding and training seasonal and new team members
  • Shadow supervisors and managers to understand leadership responsibilities

Inventory:
  • Assist with inventory counts, stocking, and organization
  • Maintain accurate procedures using the POS system
  • Support waste reduction and cost control initiatives
