Job description

The Blueprint (Role Profile)

We are seeking an Operations Trainee to join our Nogales, AZ plant. In this role, you will operate various machine shop equipment to produce precision tools, fixtures, and components used in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will follow established work instructions and quality standards, ensuring all machined parts meet exact specifications. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic tooling environment, contributing to the creation of essential components that support industrial production.

The Build (Responsibilities)
  • Read and interpret bill of materials, blueprints, drawings and written instructions
  • Operate conventional machining equipment to perform respective operation
  • Use measuring equipment and gages to ensure manufactured parts meet specification
  • Record data as it relates to productivity, first article inspections, and cell needs
  • May assist with identifying and changing tooling, fixtures, etc. to perform a set-up
  • Perform daily duties and responsibilities associated with 5S within respective cell
  • Other duties as required to successfully perform the job
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous coursework or related work experience is preferred
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand bill of materials, blueprints, drawings and instructions
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to check part quality
  • Willingness to learn to change tooling, fixtures, and other items as required for set-up
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs
