Job Summary


The Insurance Operations & Broker Support Administrator provides administrative support to the agency’s insurance team, helping keep quoting, licensing, carrier appointments, commissions, and day-to-day operations organized and on track. The Insurance Operations & Broker Support Administrator will utilize their highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline driven administrator skills in managing multiple priorities, working with data and systems, to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. 


This role helps keep the insurance operation organized and running smoothly. By managing important administrative details, deadlines, documentation, and follow-up, this position enables producers to focus on serving clients and growing the business while providing an opportunity to develop valuable insurance industry expertise.


Job Duties

  • Support producers with quote requests, proposals, renewals, and collection of required information.
  • Coordinate with General Agent (GA) partners and insurance carriers and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Maintain producer and agency licensing records, including renewals, deadlines, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate carrier appointments, contracting, portal access, and producer system access.
  • Maintain accurate carrier, licensing, appointment, and commission records.
  • Assist with commission tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and producer commission calculations using established processes.
  • Maintain internal databases, trackers, CRM records, and electronic files.
  • Monitor deadlines and outstanding items and provide consistent follow-up.
  • Prepare reports, documents, and other administrative materials as needed.
  • Follow established procedures and assist with documenting and improving administrative processes as the agency grows.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent follow-through and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of administrative, operations, sales support, or similar professional experience preferred.
  • Insurance experience preferred but not required.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to move up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to participate in video conferences and meetings.
