The Operations Manager for the Rotating Equipment Group is responsible for leading day-to-day operations, resource planning, execution performance, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement for services related to pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, blowers, fans, and other rotating equipment. This role ensures the group delivers high-quality field service, repair, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and turnaround support while meeting business, safety, schedule, and profitability objectives.
Key Responsibilities

- Plan and allocate labor, equipment, tooling, materials, and subcontractor resources to meet customer commitments and operational priorities.
- Monitor project schedules, job progress, productivity, cost performance, and quality metrics; take corrective action when performance falls below expectations.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
- Partner with sales, estimating, project management, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to support proposals, job planning, execution, billing, and customer follow-up.
- Maintain strong customer relationships by communicating clearly, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds expectations.

The Operations Manager is expected to translate business goals into practical operating plans, establish clear priorities, and create accountability across the team. This includes managing workload, balancing urgent customer needs with planned maintenance work, improving standard work processes, and ensuring supervisors and technicians have the information, tools, and support needed to perform successfully.
Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory, operations management, project management, or team leadership experience.
- Strong working knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, motors, blowers, fans, and associated systems.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, ERP systems, work order systems, or other operations management platforms.
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, pipeline, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
- Knowledge of API, ANSI, ASME, ISO, OEM, and customer-specific rotating equipment standards.
- Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, NCCER, safety, reliability, or maintenance-related certifications.
- Experience supporting outage, turnaround, commissioning, startup, vibration, alignment, precision maintenance, or reliability improvement programs.
- Safety-first leadership and strong field execution discipline.
- Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-priority industrial service environments.
- Strong communication skills with technicians, customers, vendors, and senior leadership.
- Commercial awareness, cost control, and understanding of job profitability.

- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and responsiveness.
- Strong planning, organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
- Ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable.
