Job Summary
Interface with various members of IT, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Business Analysts and Operations as well as vendors and clients to identify testing needs of the organization. The Quality Assurance Analyst will work with the QA Team on a per project basis to develop, execute test plans and run automation test scripts.
Candidate must be local. This is not a remote position, at this time.
Primary Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned as necessary):
  • Testing in Windows, UNIX, and portal environments with traceability to requirements
  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases and scripts through coordination with QA Manager and Team, Project Managers, Developers, Stakeholders, clients and vendors
  • Familiar with automation practices and able to identify automation scripts
  • Coordinate testing with UAT including defect tracking, metrics, escalations, and coordination with client
  • Follow QA methodology and procedures
  • Work independently with minimal guidance from Manager
  • Accept and manage changing priorities and address issues swiftly and professionally
  • Act in accordance with established IAS Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain confidential information

Primary Skills & Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Demonstrate successful hands on experience with test planning and execution
  • Have experience creating test documentation to include plans, cases, scripts
  • Have experience with defect tracking tools, reports, and metrics
  • Have experience in working with vendors and clients
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and all safety rules
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills for varying levels within the organization
  • Display flexibility with priorities within a dynamic work environment
  • Exhibit self-direction and proactive problem solving
  • Use tact when expressing ideas or opinions to respond to objections successfully. Facilitation skills are preferred
  • Possess a broad technical knowledge of business unit's systems, processes, and procedures
  • Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Possess Microsoft SQL Server skills, ability to write T-SQL SELECT Queries easily and quickly.
  • Possess Web languages skills, basic understanding of HTML, javascript, and CSS is desired.
  • Possess knowledge of automation practices and able identify test cases to automate
  • Understanding of API's and how to use basic API Test tools. Tools such as POSTMAN and SoapUI are desired.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, Associates Degree acceptable, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prefer experience in Health Insurance industry
  • Prefer experience with JIRA and TFS
  • 4+ years QA Testing experience
