Job description

The Parts Quality Analyst is responsible for overseeing supply chain operations quality assurance activities to include over-packing procedure process, part picking accuracy/location issues,carrier performance analysis to meet customer requirements and KPI's within MPA Supply Chain quality, packaging, Lean team, transportation & SCM strategy guidelines. Position will liaison with parts compliance specialists, packaging engineer, transportation team, Lean team and PDC managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Publish and distribute the following reports weekly, PDC shortage by location, PDC error & shortage trend, over-pack report and weekly claims trend. (20%)
  • Provide weekly updates of PDC shortage by location report/share results with PCS and PDC managers. Track and identify locations with increasing trend shortage rates, work in collaboration with PCS to follow processors generating shortage rate for corrective action. (20%)
  • Create monthly deep dive analysis/performance decks for PDC processor performance, to identify root cause and countermeasures. (20%)
  • Create dealer deep dive analysis/performance decks for dealer damage, shortage, wrong part claims, identify dealer claims submission trends to support dealer visits and collaborative interfacing with PDC, transportation team and carriers. (20%)
  • Publish carrier performance decks for monthly/quarterly meetings with transportation team and carriers. Identify challenging dealer, route issues for corrective action. Create tracking tools, and ad hoc reports as requested. (15%)
  • Document and maintain a robust process for controlling inbound repack, monitor results identify parts with insufficient packaging from suppliers, maintain repack standards & SOP's, flag parts for inbound inspection, coordinate efforts with packaging engineer. (5%)

Key Performance Indicators

  • Monitor and identify process quality issues, identify negative trends and proactively communicate these trends to appropriate decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Accuracy and timely creation of analytical reports that capture area specific performance regarding damage/shortage/wrong part information.
  • Maintain neat, clean, orderly, safe, secure work storage areas at HQ.
  • Performs special project work as required at the direction of management.

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
