Raytheon is seeking a Program Operations Manager (POM) for the Advanced Common Products (ACP) product area within Naval Power to join the Ultra Production team onsite in Tucson, Arizona. This role will act as the primary interface all Operations value streams participating in and driving factory improvement initiatives for increased rates, management and reporting of on-time deliveries, developing Manufacturing Plans, and provide Operations leadership to Hardware Management Teams (HMTs) focused on execution of our build plans and meeting our schedule, quality, and cost targets.
The ACP portfolio currently serves three Raytheon Strategic Business Units (SBUs) across six programs. Ultra electronics are used in two munitions acceleration programs that will require more than a 4x increase in output to meet the demands. This position will play a key role in driving execution to meet capacity increases for Ultra.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead, collaborate and influence program and functional managers to support the process focused factories driving quality and performance for product deliveries.
  • Be accountable for operations team cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Manage the coordination and execution of program schedules with Global Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and other functional areas.
  • Define clear operational schedules, priorities and goals for each Factory.
  • Interact with Engineering and other functional areas to support on time delivery
  • Support Manufacturing Operations strategy and utilize CORE best practices.
  • Lead throughput improvement initiatives for both recurring efforts and new business opportunities.
  • Support execution of a program through the development and transition to production phases of a program's lifecycle. Familiarization in New Product Integration (NPI), Transition To Production (TTP), and proposal support activities are preferred.
  • Perform in technical, program, and manufacturing leadership roles.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree preferably in Production, or Manufacturing or related field and minimum 10 years or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Experience working within a Manufacturing, Operations, Production or a similar environment working with PRISM or similar inventory system.
  • CORE/Six Sigma and/or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience managing support plans, completing basis of estimates (BOEs), and/or maintaining schedules in cross-functional, matrixed environments.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience managing manufacturing plans and maintaining schedule in cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Experience leading collaboratively with other managers in a results-oriented environment to develop solutions for complex problems that will gain desired outcomes.
  • Previous leadership position in a fast paced technical or manufacturing environment that included multiple working organizations; this would include extensive experience building strong cross-functional teams with proven results and problem-solving experience that bridges production realities to financial commitments.
  • Experience effectively leading, presenting, and participating in meetings and status sessions, even when having to provide bad news or when you disagree with other management and customers.
  • EVMS Certification.
  • CORE/Six Sigma and/or continuous improvement experience.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
