Job description

Program Associate

The Program Associate position is an opportunity for a highly motivated and organized professional with project management skills to work as part of a dynamic team. This individual will help the Programming Department turn the Moise Safra Center's programming vision to life through thoughtful planning, coordination, and execution of engaging events and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude, be creative, detail-oriented, proactive, and be able to adapt to the changing needs of the Moise Safra Center's members. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building community, creating meaningful experiences, and contributing ideas in a collaborative environment.

Located on 82nd Street and Lexington Avenue, the Moise Safra Center's 65,000 square foot building is a vertical campus of 14 floors with dedicated venues for social, recreational, educational, spiritual and wellness activities. The facility includes a pool, fitness center, synagogue and beit midrash, culinary, dance and yoga studios, elegant banquet space with an outdoor terrace and views of the city. This signature Jewish center combines tradition and innovation to nurture the mind, body, and soul of its membership in a sophisticated urban setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage programs on a semester basis to achieve enrollment, engagement, and program success goals
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement new programs and events
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate program records and reporting
  • Drive program recruitment and participant outreach to meet registration targets
  • Provide hands-on support before, during, and after programs and events to ensure smooth execution
  • Coordinate operational details including scheduling, staffing support, supply preparation, and setup/breakdown
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with participants, instructors, vendors, and internal departments
  • Manage program supplies and assist with inventory organization
  • Oversee program invoicing and ensure accurate financial tracking
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate program outcome data to measure success and improve future offerings
  • Incorporate feedback and data-driven insights into program planning and development
  • Work collaboratively with team members to share ideas, strategies, and best practices
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and office support to ensure efficient department operations
  • Ensure all programs and events are executed professionally, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards
