The Role:
Simple Technology Solutions is looking for a highly capable, technology-first, AI enthusiast, operations leader to join our growing Government Contracting (GovCon) organization. This role is designed for an ambitious, upwardly mobile operations professional ready to expand into broader enterprise leadership responsibilities and grow into a senior operational leadership position over time.
The Senior Manager will oversee day-to-day corporate operations across multiple operational support functions. This individual will directly manage the HR Manager and Contracts Manager functions while partnering closely with executive leadership to improve operational scalability, compliance maturity, and organizational efficiency.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, process-driven GovCon professional who enjoys solving technical operational challenges, implementing scalable systems, improving workflows, and supporting growth within a fast-paced federal contracting environment.
The position offers direct exposure to all major areas of GovCon business operations and is structured as a developmental leadership role with a pathway toward Director of Operations, Integrator, or COO-level responsibilities as the company scales.
The Senior Manager, Corporate Operations at STS will:
Corporate Operations Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate daily operational activities across corporate support functions
  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives through technology adoption, automation, and process optimization
  • Support executive leadership with operational planning, reporting, forecasting, and organizational scaling initiatives
  • Directly manage and mentor HR Manager and Contracts Manager functions
  • Foster accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Build cross-functional collaboration between operations, contracts, HR, finance, and delivery teams
  • Demonstrate executive presence and leadership potential for future advancement opportunities

Federal Contract Operations
  • Provide hands-on oversight and operational administration for several active Prime Federal contracts
  • Support contract lifecycle management including compliance tracking, modifications, deliverables coordination, and subcontractor administration

Compliance & Governance
  • Coordinate and maintain compliance activities related to: HUBZone program requirements, SBA regulations, state and corporate compliance requirements, and corporate governance documentation
  • Support audit readiness and documentation management
  • Maintain operational policies, SOPs, and compliance procedures

HR, Benefits & Compensation Operations
  • Oversee operational administration of employee benefits and compensation programs
  • Partner with HR leadership on recruiting, workforce planning, onboarding, employee operations, and compliance
  • Support compensation analysis, benefits renewals, and operational HR reporting

Analytics & Operational Planning
  • Utilize analytical and financial skills to support operational forecasting, pricing support, resource planning, labor utilization analysis, and corporate operational metrics
  • Build reporting dashboards and operational performance tracking mechanisms

Education and Experience:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Management, Operations, HR, Technology Management, or related field preferred)
  • 10 years of related experience with a minimum of 5+ years of Government Contracting (GovCon) experience within a technology-focused federal contractor
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in at least four (4) of the following operational areas: federal contract administration; GovCon compliance (HUBZone, SBA, ISO, state compliance); benefits and compensation administration; HR operations; operational process management; pricing and forecasting support; prime contract oversight; or internal operational systems/process improvement
  • This position is fully remote with periodic on-site meetings in Washington, D.C.

Preferred
  • Familiarity with GovCon accounting, pricing, or labor forecasting models
  • Experience implementing operational automation or workflow optimization tools
  • PMP, SHRM, NCMA, or operational certifications are a plus
