Job description

Overview 

The Retail Operations Business Partner will drive all aspects of the retail operations process by supporting Studio, Delivery and Service Centers in their day-to-day operations, new site openings, special projects, remodels, and operational efficiency initiatives. This role focuses on providing comprehensive support to locations rather than inspection for the condition of the locations, they will partner with Field Leadership to inspect all onsite locations.  

The Role 

Operational Support & Efficiency 

  • Act as the liaison between corporate teams, retail locations and field leadership on key deliverables and communication  
  • Managing and prioritizing field requests based on urgency, impact on overall operations and sales, and resource requirements, while conducting regular reviews of issues and concerns to identify preventative measures and/or process improvements 
  • Identify areas of improvement within operations, processes, and policies and lead cross-functional efforts to improve efficiency 
  • Align and optimize standard operating procedures across current and new sites to achieve consistency, partnering with Field Leaders for execution and inspection 
  • Creating and managing consumables and janitorial budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and inventory management 
  • Support special projects and ongoing operational strategy as needed 

New Site Openings & Remodels 

  • Lead, plan, manage, and direct multiple new sites; opening locations concurrently 
  • Schedule and lead operational project team meetings and ensure follow-up of action items 
  • Provide hands-on involvement with new site setup to ensure locations are opened effectively and efficiently 
  • Coordinate activities to prepare stores for smooth turnover and disseminate information to key departments and leaders 
  • Participate in cross-functional Retail Development meetings to influence operational needs/requirements of upcoming locations 
  • Travel as needed to review site readiness and manage onsite setup, partnering closely with Construction Managers on site turnover and closeout of punch lists 
  • Perform postmortem reports upon completion of each project; evaluate success and determine best practices 

Compliance & Documentation 

  • Develop policies, procedures, practices, and form documentation relating to sales regulatory and compliance functions 
  • Maintain working knowledge of state DMV laws, vehicle code, and applicable statutes as they relate to sales compliance 
  • Reviewing available and public local incentives in partnership with local sales teams 
  • Collaborating with local sales and leadership teams to review available regional incentives 
  • Coordinate with legal on license updates and expirations for all types of licenses (sales, business, dealer, retail, service, repair) and local ordinances 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent experience 
  • 2-5 years of related work experience, including project management, retail operations, and/or retail store experience 
  • Experience managing complex projects with a high level of organization and attention to detail 
  • Track record of success in developing relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively, and leveraging influence to drive initiatives 
  • Ability to read construction drawings and design renderings 
  • Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
  • Strong written, oral, and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Travel required
