Technology Process Manager - Application Portfolio Manager

The Application Portfolio Manager (APM) collaborates with Technology Operations and Product Technology leadership, product and application owners, customers and partners to establish and direct the Application Portfolio Management practice. The APM work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various portfolio factors; asset management, technology, processes and frameworks. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team that is helping to shape the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) portfolio management strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and formulate scenario-based portfolio development planning and strategy.
  • Proactively identify and address programmatic gaps in thinking, process, or efficiency with a solution-based mindset.
  • Responsible for developing, shaping and improving overall portfolio management (Products, Services and Applications) practices across ITSM, while making decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for portfolio management.
  • Build and lead development portfolio strategy and analysis deliverables and processes.
  • Lead and facilitate group wide working sessions ranging from executive and board level meetings to large group presentations and requirements gathering exercises.
  • Accurately report project, portfolio and key strategic initiative status and effectiveness and document key findings from all engagements.
  • Direct special requests and projects from horizontal and vertical stakeholders.
  • Shape, facilitate and influence departmental portfolio strategies by utilizing exceptional facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Other duties:
    • Responsible for managing the tools, input, tracking, and reporting of the portfolio data
    • Directs, tracks and monitors portfolio changes in schedules and ensures that the appropriate financial and organizational support is being allocated in support of Group wide goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree + 7 or more years of portfolio management leadership experience, developing and driving product roadmaps with engineering and IT organizations; MBA preferred.
  • ITIL certification preferred
  • Broad and deep information technology experience across multiple disciplines; business intelligence, data management, service operations, application development, etc.
  • Proven experience and track record in the areas of Asset Management, Program Management, Product/Project Implementation, and Change Management.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills including talent for conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to move fast and with a can-do attitude and emotional resilience; comfortable / experience working with all levels of the workforce.
  • Comprehensive experience producing metrics, measurements and trend reports.
  • Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving the customer experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen
