Regional Manager – Fire Operations (Full-Time)

Position Summary: Dynamic Aviation is seeking a strong, safety-focused aviation leader to serve as Regional Manager – Fire Operations. This role provides full oversight of regional fire aviation operations, ensuring safe, compliant, efficient performance while meeting contract requirements and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all regional fire aviation operations, maintenance, aircraft, and personnel
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, safety standards, company policies and contract requirements
  • Oversee budgeting, cost controls, and operational performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Ensure dispatch reliability for all departing flights
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication
  • Communicate critical information to company headquarters, establish relationship with FBO and other service providers
  • Lead hiring, staffing, performance management, and team development.
  • Coordinate training
  • Engage with headquarters leadership, Logistics, Records all other relevant departments
  • Create the schedule and ensure personnel availability
  • Maintain interior/exterior appearance of the aircraft to meet Dynamic Aviation standards
  • Identify operational improvements and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and administrative compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Current FAA pilot or mechanic certificate; must meet FAA Part 135 requirements
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Strong operational, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours and travel to individual sites as required
  • Strong decision-making ability under pressure
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork in high-tempo operations

Pilot Minimums (If Applicable):

  • FAA Commercial Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating
  • First or Second-Class FAA Medical Certificate
  • Eligibility for Interagency Pilot Qualification Card (pilot carding process)
  • 1,500 hours total time
  • 1,200 hours PIC (airplane)
  • 200 hours PIC Multi-Engine Land (100 hours in last 12 months)
  • 200 hours PIC in mountainous/low-level terrain (<2,500’ AGL, per 14 CFR 95.11)
  • 200 hours PIC Night
  • 500 hours PIC Cross-Country
  • 50 hours PIC actual instrument
  • 75 hours PIC simulated instrument

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), or ability to obtain – if mechanic
  • 25 hours PIC in Beechcraft King Air (10 hours in last 12 months) – if pilot
  • Degree or 6–10 years relevant aviation leadership experience
  • Experience managing fleet operations and budgeting
  • Familiarity with Emburse, Dayforce, or Pentagon ERP systems
  • Relocation to Southern California may be required
