Position Summary
Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client a Mortgage Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, performance, and growth of the branch while delivering exceptional member service. This leadership role manages branch staff, ensures operational excellence, maintains regulatory compliance, and supports the Credit Union's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop branch staff, including supervisors, member service representatives, and tellers, to foster a high-performing, member-focused culture.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations regarding employee development and compensation.
- Ensure effective onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development for all branch employees.
Member Service & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex member concerns, complaints, and exception requests.
- Promote exceptional member service and strengthen member relationships through personalized financial solutions.
- Assist members with account services, product inquiries, and lending needs as necessary.
- Support branch growth through community involvement, marketing initiatives, and relationship-building activities.
Branch Operations
- Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including transaction volume, account growth, service quality, operational accuracy, and cross-selling performance.
- Review and analyze operational and performance reports to identify trends and implement improvements.
- Approve exceptions, overrides, fee refunds, and account adjustments within established authority limits.
- Provide operational support and coverage for other branch locations as needed.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a strong understanding of branch operations, lending practices, and financial institution regulations.
- Oversee branch security, safety procedures, cash controls, vault accountability, and operational integrity.
- Ensure all branch materials, procedures, and activities align with organizational standards and marketing guidelines.
Administrative & Facility Management
- Coordinate facility maintenance, vendor services, and branch operational needs.
- Respond to internal communications, organizational initiatives, and management requests.
- Serve as a liaison between branch staff and executive leadership to ensure effective communication and alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide after-hours support for urgent staffing, operational, or member service needs when required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support organizational initiatives and strategic objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a financial institution.
- Knowledge of lending practices, branch operations, and regulatory requirements within a financial institution.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional member service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in a credit union environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and achieve operational goals.
