Job description

Overview:

As our Operations Manager, you will lead production operations at our Oxnard Vehicle Processing Center, driving safety, quality, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role provides leadership across all vehicle processing functions while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This position is on-site in Oxnard, CA

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) goals, customer requirements, and business objectives while driving productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Lead workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost-reduction efforts to enhance quality, customer satisfaction, and overall operational excellence.

Production & Customer Operations

  • Oversee all vehicle processing functions, including pre-delivery inspections, accessory installation, stock maintenance, undercoating, campaigns, quality control, mechanical repair, and body shop operations.
  • Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and daily workflow while building strong customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure service, quality, and delivery expectations are met.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and compliance by ensuring adherence to company policies, environmental regulations, and workplace safety standards.
  • Drive operational excellence through standardized processes, continuous improvement and protection of confidential company, customer, and employee information.

Leadership & Employee Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and employees to drive operational excellence and employee engagement.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment through effective communication, training, cross-functional development, and performance management.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage operational performance, labor efficiency, and costs to support financial and business objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, resource planning, inventory, and company assets to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.

Job Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5–7 years of leadership experience in vehicle processing, automotive, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar operational environment.
  • Experience leading production operations and customer-focused service delivery, including performance management and productivity improvements.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require.

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience working within vehicle processing centers (VPCs), port operations, or vehicle logistics environments.

The expected starting salary range for this position is $104,000 to $110,000 per year.
