Job description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents. 


Operations Staff will perform a multitude of tasks to setup, run, and breakdown of all needed seating, table, staging, equipment for events hosted at Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.

This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00-$12.00

Located on Indiana University of Pennsylvania's campus, the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex is a state-of-the-art venue offering a variety of meeting, banquet, consumer show and entertainment options.

While owned by Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), IUP selected Oak View Group to manage the daily operations of the Kovalchick Complex. Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in live experience venue development, management, premium hospitality services, and 360-degree solutions for a collection of world-class owned venues and a client roster of arenas, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions.


  • Assists with converting Arena from one function to another (i.e., basketball to concerts, theater, meetings, and other types of functions).
  • Assists with converting conference rooms from one function to another (i.e., conferences, banquets, meetings and other types of functions).
  • Follows directions of supervisors; sets up and breaks down stages, seating, tables, conference rooms, etc. 
  • Performs light cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned. 
  • Follows all safety precautions and emergency procedures established at the facility. Reports any safety and damage concerns to the Manager.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have ability to take/follow directions and remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. 
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through with a “can do” attitude. 
  • The employee must frequently move and/or lift 50 lbs. (some heavier lifts are team lifts).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
