Quality Specialist / Order Checker – Elgin, IL
$20-$23/Hour
The Quality Specialist/Order Checker is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems consistently meet established quality standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining and continuously improving quality processes across the organization. The Quality Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to monitor quality performance, manage documentation, support audits, and address non-conformities.
Responsibilities

  • Triple check each order before it ships, identifying that the right product numbers/serial numbers have been fulfilled.
  • Data entry of each part number being shipped out.
  • Each customer has specific instructions, make sure those are always met.
  • Regularly perform quality audits and inspections to evaluate processes and recommend improvements.
  • Manage quality documentation, including the tracking, storage, and maintenance of forms, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, operations, and technicians to address quality issues and drive preventive actions.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product or service quality, ensuring effective resolutions and customer satisfaction.


Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year in a quality role or similar detailed type experience
  • Data entry accuracy
  • Bilingual – Spanish and English
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate, especially with MS Office and ERP
  • Self-motivated, independent worker
