Meyer Utility Structuresย is seeking aย Managerย of Operations who willย work in conjunction with the Plant Manager inย overseeingย theย Clinton, ILย plantโ€™sย manufacturing processes, equipment purchases,ย maintenanceย and layout. Theย Managerย willย monitorย and evaluate workflow, assembly methods, as well as recommend and implement process improvements to improve output at the plant location.ย

Whatย Youโ€™llย Do:ย ย 

  • Collaborate with plant manager in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plansย 
  • Serve as the Lean Champion for the plant,ย drivingย high standardsย for 5S by leading training andย continuousย improvement techniquesย 
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmentalย plant collaborationย 
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivityย 
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessaryย 
  • Monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiativesย 
  • Plan,ย monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of theย overall plantย operation to ensure efficient andย timelyย completion of tasksย 
  • Uphold organizational policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followedย 
  • Work closely with human resources to lead team with integrity andย establishย and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environmentย 

Whatย Youโ€™llย Need:ย ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in industrial management,ย businessย or related fieldย 
  • 5+ย yearsย ofย progressive experience in a related roleย 
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles including finance, customer service, production, employee management, value-streamย managementย and human resourcesย 
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operationalย processesย for maximum efficiency and productivityย 
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demandsย 
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelinesย 
  • Experience with budget and business plan development highly preferredย 
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivityย 
  • Ability to negotiate in both internal and external settingsย 
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skillsย 
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software (e.g., SAP, ERP, CRM)ย
