PORT MADISON ENTERPRISESSUQUAMISH CLEARWATER CASINO RESORTCSO- Shift Manager

General Position Summary:

Oversees the operation of the Casino’s Cage Slot Operations during assigned shift while complying with all applicable company and gaming regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Operates Cage Slot Operations according to department policies and procedures, MICS, State Compact, Appendix X & X2, Tribal Internal Controls Standard and Title 31
  • Oversees custody and balances of cage inventory, including currency, coins, checks, gaming chips, forms and records normally associated with the operation of the cage
  • Completes all reports required to maintain a smooth operation
  • Resolves employee and guest disputes not resolved at a lower level including resolution reports
  • Directly supervises and interfaces with Supervisor and Rubber band to ensure optimal operations and adequate controls in accordance with Gaming Ordinance, State Compact, and MICS while on shift
  • Responsible for investigating, variance review and responding to NOE’s in a timely manner
  • Approves guests’ checks according the casino policies
  • Oversees the distribution of PME payroll checks
  • Oversees the revenue deposit
  • Oversees issuance of bank rolls to personnel
  • Oversees all Keno, Department, and blind drops
  • Oversees revenue drop verification
  • Responsible for all aspects of performance management to include training, employee evaluations, coaching and corrective action
  • Safeguards company assets located within Cage Slot Operations
  • Utilizes resources to maximize the efficiency of the operation
  • Uphold 72 hours response timeline to employees and guests
  • Ability to coach and develop all report
  • Works to ensure processes and procedures are effective and reasonable
  • Recommends ways to improve processes and procedures to better fit the department needs
  • Works closely with other department leaders to improve cross departmental communication
  • Promotes positive internal and external guests relations
  • Train, coach and monitor team to ensure smooth adoption of new programs
  • Completes evaluations and disciplinary action in line with PME policy

Secondary Functions:

  • Monitors, implements, and trains staff as required
  • Promotes positive guest and employee relations
  • Oversees and maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and employees

Specific Job Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of MICS, State Compact, department Internal Controls/Policies & Procedures, and Port Madison Enterprises Employee Handbook

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED Required. Retail or customer service experience required. A minimum of three (3) years of gaming experience and one (1) year high volume of cash transactions or supervisor equivalent experience required.

Job Conditions:

Working conditions include high stress for immediate need information and disgruntled customers on the casino floor and in an office setting. Working evening, weekends and holidays is required includes working on a rotation schedule. Position requires extended period of standing, smoky, noisy environment and frequent interruptions.

Physical Requirements:

Manual and finger dexterity for operation of computers, works in a confine space within gaming machinery and cash process equipment. Ability to lift 25 lbs. and require sit and or stand for extend periods of time
