Position Summary

The Mold Manager is responsible for overseeing all mold and asbestos abatement projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role includes planning, coordinating, and executing remediation operations, managing field teams, ensuring client satisfaction, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Execution

- Lead and manage mold and asbestos remediation projects from initiation to completion.

- Assess scopes of work based on site inspections, testing reports, and client requirements.

- Create detailed remediation plans including timelines, staffing, equipment, and safety protocols.

- Ensure work is performed per EPA, OSHA, and state regulations (e.g., Texas Department of State Health Services guidelines).

Team Leadership

- Supervise and develop a team of remediation technicians and subcontractors.

- Conduct training on proper abatement procedures, PPE usage, and safety compliance.

- Monitor job performance, provide coaching, and ensure a high-performance culture.

Client Relations & Communication

- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during remediation projects.

- Communicate project progress, potential issues, and mitigation steps to clients.

- Maintain detailed documentation and reporting for insurance and compliance purposes.

- Support business development efforts by maintaining relationships with industrial hygienists, consultants, property managers, insurance professionals, and commercial clients.

- Identify opportunities for additional services and assist in expanding remediation operations within the DFW market.

Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications for mold remediation and asbestos abatement.

- Ensure that all projects are documented thoroughly with proper reports, permits, and air quality testing results.

- Submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies when required.

Operational Efficiency

- Monitor project profitability, labor utilization, and equipment efficiency to meet departmental gross margin goals.

- Review estimates, change orders, and project costs to ensure financial accuracy and profitability.

- Collaborate with estimating and administrative teams to ensure accurate invoicing and record-keeping.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for remediation workflows.

QualificationsRequired:

- 2-3 years of experience in mold remediation and asbestos abatement.

- Texas Mold Remediation Contractor License.

- Current Texas Asbestos Supervisor License required.

- Texas Asbestos Abatement Contractor or Supervisor License.

- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, TDLR/DSHS, and applicable local environmental regulations.

- Experience in managing teams and projects in a fast-paced field environment.

- Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving record.

Preferred:

- IICRC Certifications (e.g., AMRT โ€“ Applied Microbial Remediation Technician).

- Experience with Xactimate, Symbility, or similar estimating platforms preferred.

- Current Texas Mold Remediation Contractor License preferred or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.

- Experience with job management software and digital field documentation tools.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

- On-call availability during emergencies and peak periods.
