What You'll Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.

  • Recent graduate to 1 year of relevant environmental consulting, industry experience, or professional internship experience.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and technical data.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a collaborative consulting environment.

  • Willingness to perform fieldwork and travel to client sites as needed.

  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in a related discipline.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or interest in pursuing professional certification.

  • Experience preparing technical reports, regulatory submissions, or environmental compliance documentation.

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and programs related to air quality, hazardous waste, stormwater, wastewater, spill prevention, or EPCRA reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support on environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance projects, air quality management initiatives, site investigations, remediation projects, and environmental due diligence assessments.

  • Prepare permits, plans, and regulatory reports related to hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, wastewater, NPDES, spill prevention, EPCRA Tier II, and TRI programs.

  • Conduct environmental compliance assessments and support corrective action implementation to maintain regulatory compliance.

  • Perform air quality analyses, emission inventories, emissions calculations, and evaluations of air pollution control technologies.

  • Support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and other due diligence activities associated with property transactions.

  • Participate in field activities, including environmental sampling, ecological studies, drilling oversight, monitoring well installation, remedial testing, construction oversight, and operation and maintenance of remediation systems.

  • Provide on-site environmental compliance support and technical assistance to clients.

  • Compile, analyze, and interpret environmental data and contribute to technical report preparation.

  • Manage multiple project tasks simultaneously while meeting quality, schedule, and budget expectations.

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and senior consultants to successfully deliver client projects and develop your consulting expertise.

For the Consulting Associate, Sustainable Operations position, the anticipated annual base pay is $64,584-$79,751 (CAD/USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
