Job description

Position Title: Install Team Leader


Reports to: Director of Install Operations / Install Operations Manager


Position Overview
Our Install Crew Leader is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the organization, specifically in all
areas of their on-site install job operations, their crew, and job site materials. Must be comfortable working
independently and within a team environment. Leads and supports their install crew and overall company culture.


Top Essential Responsibilities
● Completes daily tasks safely, and with a high level of professionalism & quality
● Makes key decisions planning daily tasks and delegates to crew members accordingly
● Timely data entering, including LMN timesheets/photos/etc
● Trains & leads crew members
● Provides daily communication with operations team

Additional Responsibilities
● Reads landscaping blueprints, reviews plan with Install Operations Manager, and implements the landscape
construction plan
● Operates a variety of mechanical equipment and trucks
○ including but not limited to excavators, skid steers, concrete saws, plate compactors, laser levels, tillers,
sod cutters, plant augers, chain saws, LED lighting tools, drills, dump trucks and truck and trailer
combinations
• Fully understands how to use a laser level and set grades based on set bench marks (BM).
● Routinely interacts with clients in a positive and professional manner
● Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including clean trucks, work site and equipment

Requirements
● This position requires a high school degree
● 5+ years experience in the landscaping field
● 2+ years in a leadership role
● Working knowledge of horticultural and hardscaping practices including paver, LED lighting, and irrigation
● Strong oral and written communication skills, math skills, job planning skills, and mechanical aptitude are a must
● A valid driver's license
• Capacity to attain Class A CDL combination with air brakes.
● Have or be working towards, but not limited to, certifications such as CMHA
● Excellent problem-solving skills

● Prepares & completes daily tasks safely, and with a high level of professionalism & quality
○ Plans and organizes the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available
○ Ensures the job is completed in the most time-efficient manner
● Makes key decisions planning daily tasks and delegates to crew members accordingly
○ Maintains assigned equipment and notifies Install Operations Manager of any needed repairs
● Timely data entering, including LMN timesheets/photos/etc
○ Completes the necessary time tracking, work orders, change orders, and material requisitions
○ Enters the necessary information and other project related paperwork into LMN
● Manages their crew members
○ Offers on-site training as needed
○ Handles personnel issues on site
○ Reminds employees of policies and procedures
● Provides daily communication with operations team
○ Makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns

Eligible for health insurance thru Wellmark – 2 plan options. Employee pays 20% of premium for the employee, Egli Landscapes pays 80% of monthly premiums for employee ONLY.

Vision and dental insurance as well as health insurance coverage for spouse and/or children are available at 100% cost to the employee.

All insurance premiums are withheld (pre-tax) from paycheck in the month prior to coverage.

NOTE: Election of insurances will be done approximately 30 days into employment. Kim Egli will assist with this process.
