Job Purpose
Reporting to the Senior Benefits Manager, the Benefits Operations Manager will use knowledge of health, welfare and retirement plans to manage effective benefits administration, employee communications, SOX, Local, State and Federal compliance.
This role is located at our HQ in Bonita Springs, FL and relocation assistance is offered!
What you will do...
  • Helps with planning, design and implementation of benefit programs
  • Oversees the annual benefits open enrollment process, including implementation of new benefits or plan changes, system user acceptance testing and oversight of enrollment activities
  • Manages the preparation and distribution of communication materials, including use of various media platforms, to engage employees and effectively communicate benefits value proposition
  • Assists in management of vendor relationships to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of programs/services.
  • Handles complex/escalated employee concerns, eligibility and transaction issues
  • Responsible for maintaining flex benefit budget reports and works closely with accounting and finance to analyze and track program expenses
  • Responsible for reconciliation of stop loss claims and insurer reimbursements
  • Manages the SOX/SSAE process ensuring compliance
  • Recommends and assists in implementation of process improvements within benefits department
  • Manages and ensures compliance calendar with local, state and federal legislation related to benefits, including but not limited to ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and PPACA
  • Working with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and benefits administration software

Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources, Benefits Administration or related field.
Professional Experience:
  • Must have 3 - 5 years of experience in company sponsored benefit plans
  • Extensive knowledge of benefit program design and implementation methods
  • Extensive Knowledge of federal, state and local laws relating to benefits

Skills
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and good analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal, communication and networking skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • The ability to read, write and speak fluently in Spanish is preferred
