Job description

Student Operations Services CoordinatorOur internships and co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We'll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.What You Will Be Working On

We are seeking a student to join us for a 8-month co-op position starting in September 2026. This position will be based out of the Calgary, AB office.

  • Collaborate on and undertake the following projects

    • Updating and integrating Company Operations Manual forms, where applicable into new InEight software.

    • Set-up custom standard Views in InEight software to be rolled out for use across the Company

    • Update existing Operations Manual forms and regular maintenance updates of the Manual.

  • Supporting the Operational Services Director initiatives related to process standardization, quality alignment, operations manual updates, and tools/systems implementation

  • Organizing meetings and project timelines/schedules.

  • Identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvements to streamline operations.

  • Collecting operational data, generating reports, and analyzing performance metrics.

  • Acting as a bridge between departments like Digital Services, Business Unit based Operations, People & Culture's Learning & Development and Finance.

  • Collaborate and partner on projects, including operational course delivery initiatives, facilitator manuals, and reporting.

  • Assist with learning needs analysis and propose relevant and innovative learning solutions.

  • Support in the design, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of learning activities and operational solutions.

  • Collaborate on a range of learning solutions to support the uptake of required knowledge, skills, and/or processes for a range of delivery methods including instructor led classroom and virtual, and eLearning solutions (e.g., videos, job aids, performance supports, pod casts etc.).

  • Deliver program content either directly, indirectly through our internal network, or through vendors.

  • Assist in the development of communication and marketing materials topromote the uptake of learning solutions across Bird's business divisions.

  • Ensure that learning solutions and assets are relevant and effective in accordance with best practices and business standards

  • Analyze results of operational learning modules.

  • Continually monitor emerging trends and organizational needs to provide informed recommendations for innovation.

What We Are Looking For
  • You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Business, Human Resources or related construction-based discipline.

  • You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently

  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships Exemplify the Ideal Team Player - Hungry, Humble, Smart Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
