Job description

We are looking for aDirector of IT Quality Engineering to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This role will lead the evolution of quality engineering and automated testing practices, driving a shift toward scalable, automation-first testing frameworks that support high-quality, high-performing digital applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and define the enterprise quality engineering strategy, with a strong emphasis on test automation
  • Build and scale automated testing frameworks across web, mobile, and enterprise applications
  • Transition teams from traditional QA to modern quality engineering practices (shift-left, CI/CD integration)
  • Oversee end-to-end testing processes, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Partner with development, DevOps, and product teams to embed quality into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing
  • Establish metrics, KPIs, and reporting to measure quality, coverage, and release readiness
  • Evaluate and implement modern testing tools and frameworks
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing quality engineering team
  • Ensure alignment with business goals, scalability needs, and system performance expectations
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering
  • 5+ years in a leadership or management role
  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps integration
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps environments
  • Strong understanding of software development and system architecture
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
