Operations Supervisor - Waste Connections

Location: Livermore, CA
Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 annually
Bonus: Up to 15% Cash Bonus

About the Role

As an Operations Supervisor, you'll be part of our elite operations team with a clear path to advancement. We're looking for someone who is open to relocation and eager to grow into higher-level management roles within 1-3 years.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and assign work crews operating solid waste collection equipment.

  • Monitor daily operations and adjust staffing as needed.

  • Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Develop and execute safety goals and initiatives.

  • Handle customer complaints and ensure service excellence.

  • Conduct performance reviews and manage team development.

  • Set short- and long-term goals for the hauling company.

  • Oversee compliance programs including environmental, OSHA, and local permitting.

  • Collaborate with union representatives and manage unionized employees.

  • This position is safety sensitive

What You'll Bring
  • Willingness to relocate for promotional opportunities.

  • Experience supervising unionized employees.

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

  • Background in transportation, trucking, or logistics.

  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days.

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and business systems.
