Operations Director Role:
The Operations Director will serve as the operational hub between executive leadership and regional teams across a growing multifamily portfolio. Based in Phoenix and working directly from the corporate office, the Operations Director will partner closely with executive leadership to support operational alignment, leadership coaching, property performance, and portfolio-wide consistency.
This role is ideal for a “leader of leaders” with strong multi-site operational experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop high-performing regional teams while maintaining an ownership mindset focused on residents, team culture, and investor outcomes.
The Operations Director will oversee a team of Regional Managers and Regional Service Managers while supporting operational initiatives across the full portfolio of communities throughout multiple states.
Lead and support regional leadership teams across a growing multifamily portfolio
Drive operational consistency, accountability, and execution across all communities
Conduct recurring operational reviews and leadership check-ins with Regional Managers and Service Managers
Partner closely with executive leadership on portfolio strategy, performance initiatives, and operational improvements
Support occupancy, retention, collections, resident satisfaction, and overall operational KPI performance
Mentor and develop regional leaders while fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture
Assist with leadership coaching, succession planning, and team development initiatives
Monitor operational trends, property performance, and regional reporting metrics
Support service operations, capital projects, vendor oversight, and maintenance execution through regional leadership teams
Ensure communities maintain high operational standards, strong resident experience, and compliance expectations
Utilize technology, operational systems, and reporting tools to improve communication and decision-making
Travel periodically for acquisitions, operational support, leadership meetings, and portfolio visits as needed
Operations Director Background Profile:
8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience within multifamily operations, multi-site management, hospitality, facilities management, or related operational environments
Proven experience leading leaders, regional teams, or geographically dispersed operations
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong operational and financial acumen with experience supporting portfolio performance and team accountability
Comfortable working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal bureaucracy
Highly organized with strong communication, follow-up, and leadership development skills
Strong technology and computer proficiency; adaptable to systems and operational tools
Ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization
