  • Assist teachers with classroom management, curriculum implementation, and daily routines.
  • Support children through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
  • Mentor, encourage, and support teaching staff in a positive team environment.

Curriculum & Enrichment Coordination:
  • Support implementation of JOL’s Montessori and Reggio-inspired curriculum.
  • Assist with enrichment programs including STEM, art, music, yoga, culinary activities, and language programs.
  • Help teachers create meaningful learning experiences based on children’s interests and observations.
  • Coordinate special events, projects, and family engagement activities.

Compliance & Safety:
  • Support school leadership in maintaining DCFS licensing standards and classroom ratios.
  • Help ensure all health, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Respond calmly and professionally in fast-paced situations.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
  • Strong understanding of classroom management and early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Leadership experience in early childhood education preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
  • Must meet all DCFS licensing requirements.
  • Completion of background check and fingerprinting required.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and childcare tuition discount.
  • Professional development and leadership growth opportunities.
  • Supportive, positive, and team-oriented work culture.
  • Opportunity to help shape and grow a unique preschool community.

Why Join JOL?:
  • Supportive and joyful work environment.
  • Beautiful eco-friendly preschool inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies.
  • Leadership team that values and supports staff.
  • Meaningful relationships with children and families.
  • Opportunity to make a lasting impact during the exciting growth of a new school community.
