Since 1973, Daemar has been the leading distributor of fluid sealing products and precision components to the manufacturing and MRO marketplace. Daemar provides a complete line of fluid sealing products, protective closures, fasteners, bushings, shim and key stock. 

With 4 separate locations across North America, our customers can trust on time delivery with the ability to ship and receive from all international centers. 

We are currently seeking a reliable and resourceful Operations Assistant to join our dynamic US team!

The successful candidate primary responsibility is to coordinate the day-to-day warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, inventory and customer satisfaction. 

Main responsibilities include( but not limited to): 

  • Assist with the day-to-day receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations
  • Ensure all orders are accurately prepared and received according to purchase orders in an efficient and safe manner 
  • Follow and expedite all production, quality, safety, inventory and transportation policies and procedures
  • Picks, receives, replenishes, inventory counts, and shipping as required, ensuring on time and accurate order fulfillment 
  • Scan items into inventory and accounting management software system 
  • Maintains an organized and clean warehouse 
  • Operates counterbalance forklift to load, unload, transport and store goods
  • Inspects and verify incoming product against invoices or other documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods\
  • Adheres to and promotes a safe working environment 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant work experience in a warehouse environment 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented, efficient and accurate
  • Strong decision-making skills and exercising good judgement
  • Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal 
  • Excellent organization, planning and time management skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office- specifically Word and Excel 
  • Ability to manage conflicting requirements in a time sensitive environment 
  • Must be able to work well independently and effectively within a team environment 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
