About the Team:
Within our Warehouse and Distribution team, our mission is to ensure the efficient and effective movement and storage of products. This team serves as the backbone of our logistics operations, collaborating closely with other departments to deliver products on time and maintain inventory accuracy. This role is crucial to our operational efficiency, strategic growth, and overall success.
About the Role:
As an Operations Assistant, you will...assists supervisor and/or assistant supervisor in the implementation of daily objectives and effectively communicating expectations to associates to achieve departmental goals.
What You'll Do:
  • Train and develop hourly staff in assigned area
  • Operate as a back-up to assist supervisor to ensure orderly operation of DC
  • Co-ordinate work assignments as directed
  • Assist in maintaining the highest performance, housekeeping and safety standards
  • Develop and recommend operational improvements where appropriate and assist with implementation upon approval
  • Work within WMS/PKMS IT systems to monitor workflow and generate reports
  • Assist in directing hourly associates, monitoring work methods and recommend retraining and/or disciplinary action
  • The ability to multi-task and work in a constant state of alertness
  • Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor for the effective operation of the facility

What You'll Bring:
  • 1-3yrs distribution or relevant supervisory experience w/2yr degree
  • Or 5yrs demonstrated supervisor/leadership experience, preferably in a distribution environment w/high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to assist fellow associates
