About the Role
American Stone is hiring a full-time Yardhand to support daily yard operations, assist customers, and help maintain an organized and safe work environment at our Salt Lake location.
Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced team environment. You will assist with loading materials, organizing inventory, supporting customers, and helping maintain daily yard operations.
Candidates with experience in warehouse operations, landscaping, construction, outdoor labor, or related industries are strongly preferred. Forklift or equipment experience is a plus, but not required.
This is a primarily on-site position based at our Salt Lake location. Candidates must be local and available to work during business hours, including Saturdays as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Load customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and company vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Stack, organize, and move stone, pallets, and materials throughout the yard
  • Assist customers in locating products and answering product questions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and work areas
  • Operate forklifts, loaders, and yard equipment safely after training
  • Cut stone using saws and other tools as needed
  • Follow safety procedures and company equipment standards
  • Support co-workers and supervisors with additional operational tasks
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times

Required:
  • Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor safely
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Preferred:
  • Candidates must be willing to provide professional references during the hiring process
  • Experience in warehouse, yard, landscaping, construction, outdoor labor, or related roles
  • Forklift or loader experience preferred, but not required
  • Spanish is a plus
