Job description

We are seeking an experienced Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technician to support our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist in the identification, mapping, and documentation of underground utilities for various civil engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations to locate and map existing underground utilities using various techniques (e.g., ground-penetrating radar, vacuum excavation)
- Prepare accurate documentation and reports of subsurface utility conditions
- Assist in maintaining and updating utility databases and GIS mapping systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during field operations
- Assist with field investigations by using electromagnetic and geophysical equipment to detect and map subsurface utilities
Job Requirements
- 1+ year(s) of experience doing utility locating, survey or SUE work
- Basic understanding of utility systems and mapping techniques
- Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time doing strenuous activity
