Job description

The Role

We are hiring an Assistant Operations Manager our ย Memphis, TN facility. These are day shifts Monday through Friday, with extra hours and weekends as required.

We are looking for a proven operational leader to manage the facility's fulfillment processes, continue to drive improvements, and lead our teammates to achieve company goals.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise, manage, and be responsible for all fulfillment processes.
  • Serve as project manager for all assigned projects.
  • Serve as the Acting Operations Manager when directed.
  • Lead, train, and develop all warehouse employees.
  • Build teams and teams-of-teams.
  • Conduct conflict resolution involving employees, customers, and/or other parties.
  • Perform administrative functions to manage employees (time cards, vacation tracking, etc.).
  • Supervise, manage, maintain, set up, improve, and be responsible for all Information Technology (IT), IT processes, and IT equipment within the facility.
  • Serve as liaison to company teammates, external partners and vendors, and other stakeholders as directed, required, or necessary on behalf of the company and/or facility.
  • Generate and/or complete reports to all levels within the company, and as needed to external parties.
  • Professionally brief leaders, peers, and subordinates as directed.
  • Master all warehouse systems, and continuously seek process and system improvement.
  • Be able to master and perform all functions and job duties of all warehouse associates and leaders.
  • Master and utilize all warehouse systems, to include data, inventory, and logistics software programs.
  • Operate adequate merchandise management tools (for example, forklift).
  • Business travel as requested and/or required by company leadership.
  • Additional duties, responsibilities, functions, or work as directed by management and/or leadership.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience (minimum) in manufacturing or logistics, and lean methodologies with emphasis on leadership in those positions.
  • Solve complex problems using academic and experiential knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work safely with limited supervision.
  • Compute college-level math problems.
  • Ability to use a computer, and proficient- to master-level expertise with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to pull a cart weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects 10-60 lbs. occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb, and/or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Able to work in the US for any employer.
