Work Shift:

8hr-1st Shift (United States of America) The Operations Assistant will assist in all aspects of operations orders with customers, support purchasing and inventory for a HDPE extruded plastics products factory. This includes entering production reports, purchasing for stock and non-items, performing and entering cycle counts, shipping and receiving functions. The candidate must have a hands-on background with purchasing and inventory in a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform functions related to production scheduling, procurement, customer service and/or shipping of products
  • Coordinate with production scheduler on customer orders to ensure 100% on time fulfillment
  • Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
  • Provide feedback to customer service, sales representatives, and plant leaders on status of work orders
  • Support and collect, enter, and reconciliation of materials produced and used daily.
  • Provide purchase orders to vendors that supply stock and non-stock items to the plant and schedule items to be delivered.
  • Receive in purchase orders and ensure that items arrive.
  • Interact and develop good working relationships with vendors.
  • Support Safety functions: lead and support safety committee, weekly and monthly audits, SOS card entry, any additional task
  • Manage and update the list of vendors of items used.
  • Perform and enter cycle counts on a bi-monthly cycle into JDE.
  • Operate within JDE inventory system, database, and excel spreadsheet.
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
