Medical Assistant

Full-Time | Monday–Friday + Rotating Saturdays

VeraSage Health is a growing, patient-focused family medicine clinic seeking an experienced, dependable Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced primary care environment. If you enjoy building relationships with patients while working alongside a collaborative clinical team, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and obtain/document vital signs
  • Review medications, allergies, and medical history in the EMR
  • Perform injections, EKGs, and point-of-care testing (COVID, Flu, Strep, UA, glucose, etc.)
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures
  • Process prescription refill requests
  • Complete referrals and prior authorizations
  • Prepare lab orders
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock supplies
  • Accurately document patient information in the EMR
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while maintaining confidentiality
  • Assist other team members as needed to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care preferred
  • Experience with EMRs (CureMD experience is a plus)
  • Skilled in phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
  • Knowledge of prescription refills, referrals, and prior authorizations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player

Preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced outpatient primary care clinic
