Position Summary
The Service Operations Assistant supports front-end and service department operations by assisting in the supervision of customer service functions, cashier performance, labor execution, and store standards. This position helps ensure an exceptional customer experience, efficient daily operations, and compliance with company policies and procedures while serving as a key support partner to the Service Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service Excellence
  • Provide outstanding customer service and promote a customer-first culture.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and service recovery situations professionally.
  • Ensure customers receive prompt, friendly, and accurate service throughout the store.
  • Support front-end operations to maintain efficient customer flow and satisfaction.
Front-End Operations
  • Assist in supervising cashiers, courtesy clerks, and service desk associates.
  • Monitor checkout performance and staffing levels throughout the day.
  • Support the execution of front-end procedures, policies, and operational standards.
  • Assist with scheduling, break compliance, and labor deployment.
  • Ensure proper cash handling, till accountability, and secure operating practices.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to store associates.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
  • Reinforce company expectations related to customer service, productivity, and professionalism.
  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and accountability among associates.
  • Help coordinate daily assignments and workload distribution.
Operational Execution
  • Assist with implementation of company programs, promotions, and initiatives.
  • Monitor store conditions to ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness for customers.
  • Support compliance with operational audits and company standards.
  • Assist with managing customer traffic and service priorities during peak business periods.
  • Maintain awareness of store performance metrics and operational goals.
Safety and Compliance

Qualifications

  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance when needed.
