Job description

SUMMARY: Responsible for the safeguarding of the property, assets, resident, guests, visitors, and employees

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Security/ Enforce Rules when required
  • Learn and train the Car Elevator software and give orientations to residents
  • Learn the Fire Safety Equipment in the Building
  • Monitoring cameras and writing incident reports
  • Great Customer Service and Energetic
  • Answering Phones and transferring calls
  • Has extremely high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Trouble shooting skills
  • Maintain a professional Demeanor but with cheerful and helpful attitude
  • Works well within a Team Environment
  • Patrol property to ensure the safety of residents, guests and employees and to protect all property assets.
  • Answer calls, assist residents and employees with respect to safety, security, and property operations.
  • Initiate and follow-up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.
  • Assist sick and injured residents and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports.
  • Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow-up with residents, guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contacts.
  • Maintain accurate records while performing basic office duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee and guest binder interaction.
  • Assist supervisor in checking alarm systems, safety and fire equipment systems and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas and delivery areas.
  • Assist with other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • MUST be experienced dealing with difficult customer
  • MUST have reliable transportation
  • The required schedule is: Evening and Night work.
  • May be required to work weekends too
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of property policy and fire-safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate hand held two-way radio and knowledge of ten codes.
  • Must be able to exhibit a take charge demeanor when necessary and take control of an emergency situation or incident when it arises.

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years' experience working in security company.
  • Minimum of one year security officer background working in a Luxury Property or Condominium.
  • Must be Guest Service Oriented with the ability to communicate in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ability to listen effectively, speak, read and write English clearly to ascertain and document important information.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lifting to 50lbs
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property.
  • Ability to follow written and or verbal instructions.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity in hands.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace.
  • Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
