Location: NAS Patuxent River, MD

What You'll Do:

As the Operational Analyst, you will support the delivery, modification, and implementation of the P-8A Poseidon aircraft in support of the Foreign Military Sales Team.

In this role, you will support mission-critical capabilities working alongside aviation and technical experts supporting Navy maritime patrol and reconnaissance operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure P-8 systems are fully operational, integrated, and capable of supporting FMS mission requirements.
  • Support and coordinate key engineering meetings with foreign customers to enable implementation of P-8 mission systems to include Poseidon Ground System and Increment 3 Block 2 aircraft modification.  This requires working knowledge of software and systems to include Minotaur.
  • Provide operational analysis and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for system functionality and integration.
  • Assist with curriculum development and provide classroom and laboratory instruction related to I3B2 systems and operations.
  • Assist in creation of mission Preflight Insertion Data (PID) for P-8A Poseidon aircraft missions.
  • Develop and present technical briefings, test status updates, and schedules to program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Position will require at least 25% annual travel, both CONUS and OCONUS.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Relevant military or industry experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting the Boeing P-8 Poseidon aircraft, mission systems, or related airborne ISR platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with P-8 mission systems integration, software, and operational employment.
  • Working knowledge of the Minotaur mission system and its application to maritime patrol and reconnaissance operations.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating engineering, systems integration, developmental test, operational test, or fielding activities.
  • Ability to analyze operational requirements, troubleshoot system functionality, and provide technical recommendations.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical presentations, briefings, and reports to customers, senior leadership, and program stakeholders.
  • Experience developing training materials or providing classroom and hands-on instruction to military or technical personnel.
  • Knowledge of mission planning processes, including experience supporting or developing Preflight Insertion Data (PID) for P-8 operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with U.S. Government personnel, foreign military customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% annually, including both CONUS and OCONUS travel.
